Cognitive Focus: Naming & Pointing (Can the child point to and say the name?)
NCF Learning Outcome: Names major body parts and matches each sense organ to its action.

1. Classroom Opener (The Hook)

Start with a game, not a textbook.

Play Simon Says: "Simon says touch your nose! Simon says wiggle your fingers! Simon says cover your ears!"
Keep it fast-paced. This immediately engages the children and allows you to do a quick visual check of who already knows their body parts.

2. Core Concepts: Naming the Parts

At this stage, learning is about vocabulary. Use large visuals or have students point to themselves.

Head & Face: Eyes, Ears, Nose, Mouth, Teeth, Tongue, Hair.
Limbs: Arms, Hands, Fingers, Legs, Knees, Feet, Toes.
Action Association:
- What do we do with our hands? (Clap, hold, write)
- What do we do with our legs? (Walk, run, jump)

3. The Five Senses (Interactive Discussion)

Do not just list the senses. Let the children experience them.

A. Eyes (Sight)

Activity: "Close your eyes tightly. Can you tell me what color my shirt is? No! We need our eyes to see."

B. Ears (Hearing)

Activity: "Close your eyes again. Listen." (Ring a bell or clap your hands). "What made that noise? We use our ears to hear."

C. Nose (Smell)

Activity: Bring a small container of coffee or an orange peel. Let them smell it. "We use our nose to smell good and bad things."

D. Tongue (Taste)

Activity: Ask, "Who likes ice cream? Is it sweet or salty?" We use our tongue to taste our food.

E. Skin (Touch)

Activity: Bring a piece of sandpaper and a soft feather. Have students touch both. "We use our skin to feel if things are hard, soft, hot, or cold."

4. Assessment Check (Oral & Observational)

No written tests. Use sorting and oral prompts:

The Mystery Bag: Put 3 items in an opaque bag (e.g., a cotton ball, a smooth stone, a small bell).
Ask a child to reach in without looking, feel an object, and guess what it is.
Ask: "Which body part helped you guess?" (Skin/Hands).
Shake the bag and let them listen. Ask: "Which body part helped you hear that?" (Ears).
