NCF Learning Outcome: Names common animals; sorts by where they live (home/outside).

1. Classroom Opener (The Sound Game)

Activity: Play an animal-sound guessing game. Make the sound of a dog, a cow, a cat, a lion, a monkey. Have the students shout out the animal's name.
Ask: "Which of these animals can live inside your house? Which ones live in the jungle?"

2. Core Concepts: Where do they live?

A. Pet Animals (Live with us)

Animals we keep in our homes because we love them.
Examples: Dog, Cat, Fish, Rabbit.

B. Farm / Domestic Animals (Help us)

Animals kept on farms because they are useful to us (give milk, eggs, or carry things).
Examples: Cow, Hen, Horse, Sheep.

C. Wild Animals (Live in the Jungle)

Animals that live in the forest and take care of themselves.
Examples: Lion, Tiger, Elephant, Monkey.

3. Classroom Activity: Animal Charades

Call one student up to the front.
Whisper an animal name in their ear (e.g., Elephant).
They must act out the animal (e.g., using their arm as a trunk) without making sounds, while the class guesses.

4. Assessment Check (Sorting)

Picture Sorting: Provide a worksheet or flashcards with a picture of a House and a picture of a Jungle.
Give them pictures of a Tiger, a Dog, a Zebra, and a Cat.
Ask: "Put the animals in the right home."
